We don't store your child's information. PDFs are generated in memory and discarded. We are not your attorney; for edge cases call HSLDA or a local attorney.
Which state are you withdrawing from?
We'll generate the right paperwork for your state's exact requirements.
Pick your state to read the specific rules
Each state has its own withdrawal procedure. We’ve written a dedicated page for every one, with the legal hooks, the next steps, and the wizard pre-filled.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay for this?
No. The Withdrawal Wizard is free, with no account required. You can download all three PDFs and use them however you like. We make money on the optional Homeschool OS subscription that tracks your homeschool going forward.
Will the letter actually work in my state?
Yes — the letter is generated from each state's specific homeschool law and the procedure followed by hundreds of thousands of families. Pick your state and we customize the legal hooks, the next steps, and the checklist accordingly.
Do you store my information?
No. Your child's name, school details, and address are processed in memory by the PDF generator and discarded. If you opt into email delivery, the PDFs are sent through Resend; nothing is written to a database on our side.
What if my state requires a Notice of Intent?
The wizard tells you exactly what your state requires beyond the letter and links to the official Department of Education form. We do not pre-fill official state PDFs (forging state forms creates legal risk for you) — but we tell you exactly which form to file and by when.
Can I generate letters for multiple kids?
Yes. The wizard supports up to 10 children per family. The letter lists each child by name, grade, and DOB; one packet works for the entire withdrawal.
I'm mid-year. Is that a problem?
In most states, no. A few have edge cases — California's Private School Affidavit window is October 1-15, for example. The wizard surfaces those edge cases for the affected states and gives you a workable path either way.
We’re not your attorney. The Withdrawal Wizard generates the standard procedure followed by hundreds of thousands of families; for edge cases — religious exemption, IEP/504 disputes, custody contests — call HSLDA or a local attorney. Always verify state-specific requirements with your Department of Education.
